Primary Skills Certification

The AMBA Primary Skills certification exam is a multiple-choice written test that covers 16 different skill sets, including: 

Mold Technology, Engineering Documents, Measurement and Inspection, Mechanical, Principles of Work Holding, Coolants and Oils, Principles of Tooling, Milling Machine, Surface Grinder, Grinders, Lathe, Advanced or Speciality Technology Operations, Metallurgy, Equipment Maintenance, Business Philosophy and Communication and Material Handling. 

Passing score for Primary Skills certification is 76.7%. Those who pass will have the option to order a certificate (coming soon). Cost of the test does not include the certificate.

Master CNC Technician Certification

The AMBA Master CNC Technician certification exam is a multiple choice written test which covers 10 different skill sets, including:

Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Basics, CNC Control Operations, Tooling for Turning, Tooling for Machining Centers, High-Performance Machining, CAM, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Mill, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Lathe, Operate RAM-EDM and Operate Wire-EDM.

Passing score for Master CNC Technician certification is 84.2%. Those who pass will have the option to order a plaque (coming soon). Cost of the test does not include the plaque.

Master Mold Builder Certification 

The AMBA Master Mold Builder certification exam is a multiple-choice written test that tests over 11 different skill sets, including:

Advanced Planning and Review, Mold Design, Plastic Injection Molding, Alternative Molding Process, CAD/CAM and other Software, Inspection and Measurement, Assembly, Fit and Finish, Project Management, Mold Maintenance and Repair and Troubleshoot Mold Problems. 

Passing score for Master Mold Builder certification is 81.7%. Those who pass will have the option to order a plaque (coming soon). Cost of the test does not include the plaque.
